Objectives:
Injured workers raise the concerns of employers. No one wants
injuries on the job, so Holmes-Murphy asked us to assist them in
creating a method to analyze risk by converting the mountains of data
into usable information that would positively impact the risk
improvement process. Holmes-Murphy’s wanted to offer this as a
value-added service to their clients.
Work Services:
WHY! developed a process utilizing Six Sigma principals to drill
down into the mounds of loss run data provided to Holmes-Murphy’s
clients by the insurance providers. A process was developed to measure
frequency and severity of worker's compensation claims over time. We
then created a process of analyzing root causes by various loss codes
such as, part of body, type of injury and cause of injury, etc. This
root-cause analysis was used to focus our improvement efforts in the
prevention of future injuries.
Results:
