The purpose of the 4-week Black Belt training is to help Six Sigma team leaders lead improvement projects using the DMAIC method.

  • The first week of Black Belt training covers the Define and Measure steps, Meeting, Communication and Facilitation Skills.

  • The second week of training covers the Analyze, Improve and Control steps, including Change Management and the associated tools. Facilitation skills focus on Group Dynamics, Decision-Making and Conflict.

  • During the third week of Black Belt training, Minitab software is taught and used to support the statistical tools. Advanced statistical tools used include normal theory, hypothesis testing, and advanced control charts.

  • The fourth week of our Black Belt training will focus on the use of Minitab to support additional advanced statistical tools such as Regression Analysis, Sampling and Design of Experiments.

   Six Sigma Black Belt - Manufacturing Version

The purpose of the Manufacturing Black Belt course is to help Six Sigma team leaders in a manufacturing environment lead improvement projects using the DMAIC method.

  • The first week of training covers the Define and Measure steps of the DMAIC method, Meeting, Communication, and Facilitation Skills. Minitab is taught and used to apply basic statistical theory to a project.

  • The second week of training continues with the Measure step and also covers the Analyze step. Topics include Decision-Making, normal Theory, and Hypothesis Testing.

  • During the third week of Black Belt training Minitab training is continued with the Analyze step and the Improve Step is also covered. The statistical tools include hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and design of experiments. Group Dynamics and Conflict Facilitation skills are also included.

  • The fourth week of the Manufacturing version of the Black Belt training utilizes Minitab software to continue with the Improve step and also cover the Control step. Some of the statistical tools focused on Evolutionary Operations and Response Surface Methodology. Change management is also covered.
